GraveGuard Code of Conduct
The GraveGuard is a peacekeeper, who began monitoring the Graveyard shortly after it's creation.
Primary purpose:
The primary goal of the GraveGuard is to inform occupants as to the Graveyard's purpose, give out flowers so they may be laid on tombs, or scroll the graveyard (without spilling blood) if too many vampires have fallen into shadows, thereby blocking the square from new visitors.
This primary graveyard message should be stated for all vampires in the graveyard or it's surronding squares:
welcome to the Graveyard. This ground is dedicated to former citizens whose human players have passed away. This is considered an area of peace, therefore biting robbing and attacking are frowned upon. http://rbcmemorial.cjb.net
If the Graveyard is blocked (blue):
The Graveyard square must be blocked for at least 4 hours with an obvious majority of occupants in shadows. Only a neutral vampire may scroll the Graveyard to prevent blood loss. Historically this is only done by GraveGuard, or COVE Keeper (if GraveGuard is unavailable.) Also, the GraveGuard may scroll the COVE at Knotweed and 51st should that square be blocked for an extended period.
A warning should be make at least 2 hours before the scrolling, asking that vampires please move along so that others can pay respects.
PLEASE NOTE:
There have occasionally been mass gatherings at the Graveyard, in which numerous vampires are paying respects to someone remembered therein, or in regards to a recent event. This can usually be identified by numerous blocked squares in the Graveyard area, and a large amount of senior vampires present. Should this be the case, the Graveyard and its surrounding squares SHOULD NOT be scrolled under any circumstances.
GraveGuard's Peacekeeping duties:
As it is well known, biting, robbing, and attacking are illegal in the Graveyard due to its peaceful nature and memorial purpose. These are not game enforced rules, and they should not need to be. The majority of senior vampires in the city respect the purpose of the Graveyard, and refrain from these actions.
Of course, there are hundreds of new vampires who do not know about the graveyard, and do not realize it is an actual memorial to human players.
As such, should the GraveGuard be bitten/robbed/attacked, or informed by other Graveyard occupants of this occurring, the response taken is as follows:
A: informing the vampire via telepathy as to the Graveyards purpose, and that
their biting/robbing action is frowned upon. This message is always polite in
nature and understands that many vampires are unaware of these unwritten ideals.
Greetings. You have been cited for biting/robbing of other vampires in the Graveyard. Please be advised that the Graveyard is an area of peace, and biting, robbing, or attacking are frowned upon.

B: Displacing a vampire from the Graveyard. This action is only taken after
repeated complaints or evidence of repeated biting/robbing/attacking offenses
from a single vampire, and it is obvious that the individual does not intend on
showing any respect for the Graveyard. This measure is very rarely taken since
almost all vampires will cease their biting/robbing activities after one or two warnings.
Any action beyond the above should be dealt with on an individual basis by the Nightwatch.
Nightwatch officers are also forbidden from attacking a vampire in the Graveyard.
As such, the offender must be first displaced.
