It was a dark and stormy night on August 25, 2003, when

the names of those who had signed the

First NightWatch Charter in recent days were read aloud in

candlelight by the governments of the day. It was this

evening that the NightWatch was born. The Charter was

now ratified.

In those early days of the city, wars were rampant,

blood was spilled on the street, both that of

fledglings and full vampires. Some kills were just,

others, not so much. An organization was needed to keep

order and peace in the city,   and watch over the newly

formed Graveyard.

A lot has happened over the past decade since that first

chararter was read.   Wars are less rampant,   The city

population has decreased, pires are now concentrating

on family lines rather than clans.   The sole remaining

government in the city is our own political wing,

the CLA

However, this has not stopped us, we have only

continued to grow and expand.

We have grown from just a few unpowered guards and

constables, to a full force of constables, guardians,

officers, and guards who all do numerous things to help

out those in the city. We now run our own training

school and mediation centre which is open to anyone.

Our guards are quick to help anyone on a charisma or

perception quest. There are many more things we do to

help all across the city.

However, this organization was not built in a day. It

took many years of hard work, and the input and ideas of

many to make this happen. None of these people should be

forgotton.

While the future is always uncertain, I can only hope

the NightWatch will continue to grow and thrive, so that

the city may continue to benefit from our services, and

the hard work of those who have built this organization

do not go to waste.

It doesn't seem like it has been so long. Thank you to all of the current Constables and Guard Handlers who have kept our project alive to help so many. I remember when I signed on, I never expected to take over command from AA. I never expected the Transit Guards to become so popular when we started the idea. At the time, we didn't even have RB's approval for it, he knew nothing about them.

It has been a long 10 years and many things have changed in the City. Many of them were influenced by the members of this unit, either directly or indirectly.
